I can tell you the card did work and I used it successfully for about 4 years until this year when I decided to go back and look at FreeNAS. I was having some problems and wasn't sure if it was the card or not so I took it out and used the onboard for JBOD and then ZFS. The card was a Highpoint 4 port SATA card.
